Job Description


Our unique Center for Autism and Developmental Disorders is seeking to hire an experienced Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist with minimum 1-10 years experience.  Knowledgeable of pediatrics, oral motor/feeding, Alternative and Augmentative Communication Devices, including varierty of high tech speech deviceds, clinical practicum supervision, and other clinic operational practices. 

  • Flexible work schedules can be offered for both part time or full time positions.
  • Current SC license is required
  • Member of ASHA
  • Clinical CCC's required
  • Knowledge of Clinical practice operations, assessments, programming interventions, point of service documentation, HIPAA, and SC authorizations and reporting practices
  • Knowledge and trial programming of various types of high-tech AAC devices preferred, able to render a wide variety of clinical assessments including PPVT -5, PPVT-3 and Praxis tests
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary practice and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
  • Experience with ages 3 to 21, varying diagnoses
  • Clinical Fellows (CF's) are welcome to apply to be considered for hire at any time for Speech Therapist positions

Position Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of pediatric and young adult patients to develop individualized treatment plans and obtain insurance authorizations
  • Ensure all non-verbal clients are on track to develop a functional communication system
  • Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' functional abilities and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Maintain accurate point of service documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure patient confidentiality.
  • Maintain caseload and weekly authorized mandates for treatments
  • Maintain protocols for environmental safety of staff and patients
  • Provide education and support to families regarding treatment goals and strategies.
  • Stay current with best practices in pediatric occupational therapy and participate in ongoing professional development

9. Masters Degree Required

Summary

As a Speech Language Pathologist (or CF) specializing in pediatrics, you will be instrumental in enhancing the developmental and functional abilities of children. Reporting to the Clinical Director, your role involves providing patient care through tailored therapy plans, including assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), functional communication and discharge planning.  Your expertise in medical terminology, evidence based praciceds, anatomy, and physiology will be essential in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support children with disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum. With a Master's degree, SLP licensing and certifications in CPR and First Aid, you will ensure compliance with internal policies / practices and comply with HIPAA regulations while fostering a nurturing environment for young patients.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time - Salaried W-2 and Hourly W-2 Positions available

Compensated for Direct and Indirect time in Salaried posiitons only.
