Special Education Extended School Year Summer Program Details:

LOCATION: Eggert Elementary School

EFFECTIVE DATES: July 1, 2025 - August 15, 2025

• An Introductory/Welcome Meeting for staff is tentatively scheduled for June 3, 2025: 3:30-4:30pm. Staff can attend virtually if needed.

• Set-Up day is tentatively planned for Tuesday, July 1st and/or Wednesday July 2nd, 2025. Extended School Year (ESY)

  Special Ed ESY:

• A special education program that is six (6) weeks in duration and includes students with disabilities (classified through CSE) who have demonstrated substantial regression during breaks from school

• The program will be hosted at Eggert Elementary School;

• July 7-August 15, 2025. Monday thru Friday

• Student day is from 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM;

• Teacher and staff day is 7:45 AM - 2:15 PM

• There are 30 school days for students in ESY

• Students are eligible for ESY as determined by the Committee for Special Education (CSE)

• ESY Programming focuses on maintenance of skills as they pertain to IEP goals

• Transportation will be provided for students by the District

POSITIONS:

• Up to three (3) Speech Pathologists to provide IEP services (30 instructional days). These positions can be shared;

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Appropriate NYS certification to teach Speech

• Demonstrated ability to work with peers

• Demonstrated ability to work with supervisors

• Ability to motivate and instruct students

SALARY: $46.00/hour
