They develop tailored treatment plans, utilizing techniques such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and patient education to help restore function, improve mobility, and prevent or limit physical disabilities. Before becoming a PT, a person could be a Physical Therapist Assistant, providing treatment under the supervision of a PT, or a Rehabilitation Aide, assisting with patient care and clinic operations. Some may start their careers as Athletic Trainers, working with athletes to prevent and treat sports-related injuries.
