Physical Therapist PTA

Motion Performance Therapy has an immediate career opportunity for a Physical Theray Assistant in an outpatient setting in Sunnyvale or Kaufman Texas. A staff Physical Therapy Assistant is required to be flexible with daily scheduling and may be required to work various hours depnding on needs. The PTA is supervised by a licensed Physical Therapist and the management at the Dallas Orthopedic and Shoulder Institute. Following an evaluation by a Physical Therapist, the assistant will follow the plan of care and perform PTA procedures as allowed by the referral to aid restoring function, improving mobility, relieving pain, and preventing or limiting permanent physical disabilities. This position may also preform other assigned duties. A staff Physical Therapist Assistant must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age, goal, and diagnosis appropriate care. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development, and  throughout the life span be able to assess patient's needs and status by analyzing evaluated data and be able to interpret information to identify age specific needs and provide appropriate care accordingly per patient care setting.  This position must also be able to adhere to the practices, polices, and procedures described in the company handbook. 

Qualifications

Edication: Physical Therapy Assistant program completion REQUIRED

Experience: Previous healthcare experience required

Licensure/Certification: MUST have Texas Physical Therapy Assistant license
